Fermenting on a heating pad?

I have a brew belt that I use. When I really want to get the heat up, I throw an old shirt over the carboy with the belt.
 
Where are you fermenting? It is getting to the time of year where most are concerned with keeping the wort COOL enough.

I also would wrap the pad around the fermenter.
 
I did the same thing on my first brew I did back in Jan. My house temps were kept at 62 (i'm cheap) so I wrapped my brew bucket with a heating pad. I wish I knew better, with fermentation, the temp can go up easily 5 or more degrees in the bucket. I feel that beer would have come out a lot better if I had left it alone...
 
This will be inside a chest freezer set 3 degrees cooler than the brew belt. I'll probably skip the heating pad initially, while aiming for 58*F measured with a thermo well.
