Hey all,

I am looking to get a clone of Kronenbourg Blanc. If anyone has ever tried this and come close I would love your input on this recipe. Using the following as a base profile:
http://libatious.com/beers/kronenbourg-1664-blanc

5lbs Pilsner
4lbs Wheat Malt
1lb Flaked Wheat
.5oz Strisselspalt @ 60
1oz Strisselspalt @ 15
1oz Strisselspalt @ 5
1oz dried orange peel @ 5
.5tsp coriander @ 5
1x WLP400 w/ starter

Mash @ 152 for 60
75% eff ==> 1.050OG, 15.1IBU, 3.2 SRM, 5% ABV

Have you tired this yet? I'd be interested to know if this works. I've been looking for a 1664 (regular) recipe but this would be cool to make too. Maybe try it in a one gallon batch first.

I did. It didn't turn out as I wanted. I'd make the following changes for next time:

- Slightly more pils, less wheat
- Move the 5 minute addition to the 60 minute addition.
- More orange peel
- Slightly less coriander
- Use a different yeast - the taste was wrong. I might try to culture it.

Good luck!

Hi, I was very tempted to try this.
Question, do you use bitter orange or sweet orange? On the bottle it says they use sweet orange.

thx.
