So I am new to brewing, but have been doing a lot of reading trying to increase knowledge base so I can move on from kits.

So here is my question. I have seen vids of mash tuns being made out of coolers. I have seen copper cut and uses and even stainless steel tubing like for a washer connection used for making the bottom

The one thing I have not seen is water line pvc used. Is there a reason for that?

I used a dremel, way faster, but you can use a hacksaw if that is all you have.

+1 to dremel. Only took me a little under and hour for a ton of slits. If your going copper: wear a mask. I was sneezing copper for hours
