My friend at work showed up one day with 4 large zip-lock bags full of Willamette hops. I have never used leaf hops before, but I though this would be the perfect time to try a single hop single mash brew.

To give a little history I am about 5 brews into my new all-grain system. Its a 10 gallon brew kettle with two 10 gallon igloo coolers.

Should I just keep it simple (Pick a base malt and just free ball it?) or any suggestions? ideas?

SMASH Recipes are great! Especially if you are just getting in to all grain brewing. It will help keep things a bit simpler as far as the outcome goes. Look into the centennial blonde recipe, I believe its a SMASH and willamette would be a good hop to use with it.
