I know most answers, and my intention today as well, will be to relax and give the yeast time. So consider this a question of curiosity.
I brewed two identical Oktoberfest kits, both using Wyeast Octoberfest. I made 2 large starters, both showing active yeast growth.
Last night I brewed two 5 gallon batches, carboyed both, and pitched.
This morning, one is very active with good krausen and airlock activity. The other is completely still.
Again, I know not all wort will start to ferment quickly. But given the identical nature of the batches, I'm curious on the difference.
Thx.
