Cereal mash
18lbs
~2q/lb (9gal)
10.25gal total volume
212 degrees

Main Mash
9.4lbs
~1.5q/lb (3.5gal)
4.3gal total volume
122 degrees

I want to add the cereal mash to the main mash and hit 155 degrees. How do I calculate this? I need to play with the variables (water in cereal, main mash, or starting w/ a lower main mash temp, etc) so I hit 155. Looking for a calculator or formula.

Thanks.

I just add most of it then measure the temp then add more or let the rest cool off. I might even add ice. My cereal mashes are always less then half the main mash and I use them for a 10F temperature raise. I don't use any math. You will probably have to cool yours down first.

Kai has a formula on his decocton page.
