Hey all. Simple question. 1.5" or 2" diameter rims tube. Standard low watt density 1" element. Any recommendations on size, or just personal preference.

1.5" diameter tube will work, but the element might have to be bent in order to not have it touch the tube walls. I've used this size and non other. A 2" tube would also work, but you'll be heating more wort with the same size element. My personal preference is for the 1.5" tube. Always use an Ultra Low Watt Density element.

1.5" is what I use. 220volt, 3500 ULWD element. No problems. As with any RIMS system, keep the flow going.
