I've got a few cans of blueberry pie filling. Was wondering if they could be used to make blueberry wine.
The ingredients in the filling is as followed:
Blueberries, water, high fructose corn syrup, food starch-modifed, citric acid.

I guess you could as long as there isn't a ton of preservatives in it.may have to add more sugar.

Sure. It might work out great. I used cranberry sauce- a HUGE can from Costco type of can, that was a "whole cranberry sauce" and not the jellied stuff. It actually turned out quite good.

You'll have to make sure to use pectic enzyme, and you'll need some sugar. But it should work pretty well. If you wanted to have some "freshness", you could use some frozen blueberries to supplement the pie filling.

Thank you. Ill have to give it a try. Thinking about using some in Mead too.

Yooper. I was wondering if you would by chance know how much peptic enzyme I would have to use in a gal of blueberry juice with a SG of 1.050. And that's only the juice. Nothing else.
