Stoked to learning from everyone!

Started my first batch of Whiskey Barrel Stout about 6 days ago. After a flawless boil and transfer into fermenter, there was a SNAFU. The rubber grommet for the air lock took a swim after I tried to get the air lock in. Trying to fish it out with my spoon was not working. So I washed up to the shoulder and dove in after it. Well lets just hope I haven't introduced bacteria to the wort. I laugh about it now but I was pretty upset with myself; but poop happens.
