I want to make a 3L starter.
I have good washed yeast that I have used several times. This yeast is almost a year old but I used some of it a month ago so I know its still viable.
I previously just dumped 2 - 1/2 pint yeast cakes into a 4L flask on top of some DME making a 2L starter as according to the video on Billy Brew.
The question is do I just adjust the DME to 300 grams for a 3L starter or do I step it up?
