How much puree for in a 5 gallon batch? and when to add?

Looking to add some fruit flavor for an experimental beer here, should I add to the boil or to the primary? and how much?
 
I recently made a Guava-Weizen. I puréed 8 Guavas with some vodka and added it 3 days after fermentation started. It came out awesome.
