Soo with 24 hours l, my plastic carboy blew its stopper and spewed beer and yeast cake all over my laundry room. It was set up with an over flow kit with the stopper pressed down tight..not sure how it could blow..any opinions?

This is only my second beer. Just looking for an explanation and how I can avoid it in the future. My guess is overall temperature.
Also, with the top being off for who knows how long ( since I was not home for 9 hours) is my beer trash? Just started it yesterday.

the beer will be fine, the CO2 will have kept it safe

it probably just got clogged so built up pressure

That's what I was assuming. This being my second beer, I was just curious if it could have been anything else. Just don't want to wait 6 weeks to drink some wet cardboard lol
