wanna make my first mead

So i went strawberry picking yesterday and was wanting to make a strawberry mead. I have been looking around the web and found a guide to make it and wanted some input of what people who have made mead thought.

Ok well I haven't read all the way through the instructables recipe, the bit I have read looks fine.

The main reason that its often considered better to put the fruit into secondary because in primary the reduction in strawberry flavour, colour and aroma leaves us with an unfamiliar fermented fruit flavour. Whereas if a fermented brew is stabilised and then racked onto the fruit, more of tbe original strawberry flavour etc is retained giving us a more familiar taste.....

ok thanks so i found these Items which I think are pretty close so what he was saying. Anything else i really need other then the water honey and carboy. Thanks for the help
