Simple.. How long can you age mead?

and i dont want to know what the "ideal" aging is, i've read enough of it.

I wanna know if one can age mead like, 20-50 years. Anybody know if you can?

what i mean by "can" is will it taste amazing or very smooth and what not, or wil it turn vinegar.

thanks.

If its high enough in alcohol, acid and tannin, there's no reason why not.

If you're anal about your hygiene regime, plus use cork and wax for stoppering the bottles, then in theory it should work fine.

Green glass stops UV issues. Plus appropriate temperature of storage (low 50's F maximum) should, as I understand it, be equally beneficial.

I've read that meads stop improving after about 8 years, but can't say really as my oldest one currently is about 4 years....
