Weldless valve safe to heat?

Are those weldless ball valves for a keg safe to heat, and safe to heat with wort in them? More are they food safe than will they melt or anything like that?
 
Uh. Ima need some more info... If you mean the kind from bargainfittings or brewhardware then yes. Those are meant to be installed in your kettles.
 
Its best to put a piece of sheet metal under the valve,, thermometer, sight tubr but they are SS and safe.
