If that's the method you have on hand, go for it.

I typically cold crash 3-5 days. I move the bucket out of the fermenter chamber and into the 35*F cold crash/lagering freezer right next to it. :D

Yep, this time of year that's what I do, although I use cold water and frozen soda bottles that I reuse over and over. Gets me in the 40-45 * range. I go 24 hours or so , then add gelatin for another 24 hrs before bottling.
