I'm wondering if anyone has made a summit / cascade APA and the results? Looking to make a test batch this weekend.

I have and it turned out amazing! The tangerine from the summit plays very well with the grapefruit from the cascade. Give it a go! Make sure to dry hop with both as well.

I have one finishing right now to be kegged in about a week. So far the samples have been great. Neither my wife nor I are big hop heads, but we both like this combo.

Cool thanks guys - what was your bittering charge? I like my apas really balanced and read a little goes along way with summit - I was thinking .5oz at 60 summit and everything else at 20 and under

I did an IPA and used 2 oz Summit in the last 5 minutes.Tangerine and
orange pulp flavor.May be my new favorite hop.Although 2 oz of Simcoe
as a dry hop addition may have influenced that as well.

That's my house pale ale!

10lb 2-row
4 oz carapils
4 oz victory
8 oz crystal 40
1/2 oz summit at 60
1/2 oz each summit & cascade at 15
1/2 oz cascade at flameout

comes in at about 40 IBU, 10 SRM, 5.5 abv

It's just a real nice APA

Looks nice - have you tried summit along with cascade at flameout?

I did:
0.5 oz Cascade First Wort Hopping
0.5 oz Summit at 60 minutes
1.0 oz Cascade at 15 minutes
1.0 oz Cascade at Flame out
1.0 oz Cascade dry hopped for four days
