I've always kept it very clean and well maintenanced. Works perfectly. I also put a dual faucet draft tower on mine, which I'm including. Additionally, I'm throwing in a Ranco ETC-111000-000 Digital Temperature Controller (which is basically an external thermostate so you can specifically control the inside temp, for lagering or for serving different kinds of beers at different temps if you're really particular about your beers).
