Very cool idea!
That design was flawed. It relied on a spinning brass hose fitting. Worked great at temps below 140. When the temp got above that it would stop spinning. Not sure exactly why.
This design is flawless.
A 1/4 inch S.S. tube rests inside a 5/16 inch that rests inside a 1/2 inch.
The 5/16 inch tube has a couple of o-rings to secure the connection inside the 1/2 inch.
The white tops are compression ferrules. If you ream out the tops of the tubes they fit snug against the top.
the tee is standard 1/4 lead free brass, holding on to two 1/4 S.S. tubes with holes drilled.
The 1/2 tube connects to the water source via a standard 1/2 inch compression tee.
S.S. tube dimensions.
0.5" x 0.049" x 0.402"
0.3125" x 0.02" x 0.2725"
0.25" x 0.02" x 0.21"
The rest is just standard 1/2 inch copper pipe and fittings along with two CPVC 1/2 flanges. A couple of S.S. springs and a couple of washers (not S.S. but will be soon)
The copper tee has been drilled out to accommodate 1/2 inch slip that the S.S. 1/2 tube fits snugly in.
At some point I will replace the 1/2 brass compression and brass tee tee fitting with stainless
