Yeast starter worry

I made a yeast starter last night. Checked it this morning and it must have been a lively group because my foil had blown right off the top and mu jar was completely exposed on top. Should I assume this starter is now unusable? Anyone had this happen and use the yeast anyway?

unless you have some bugs in there should be good. the CO2 coming out usually keeps it safe. give it a whiff once its done. if all smells normal, carry on
