As a follow-up to Noz03's, recent posting questioning the accuracy of stick-on thermometers, any thoughts on waterproofing these things? I have ruined several washing my fermenter pails
 
I'm not sure where you are getting your thermometers, but I've washed mine a bunch (in 140+ degrees hot water...ya, I got it cranked and the water heater is right next to mah sink) and not seen any degradation.
