I've been brewing seriously for about 2.5 years now. I've been knocking on the 200 gallon mark door's the last year, and already this year. (Utah sucks otherwise).
Last November I had Woodcut No. 6 at the Odell brewery and it was amazing. My favorite beer of all time. I want to try and clone it.
Though I make a lot of beer, I've never made a recipe from scratch. I really don't have much of an idea where to start. This beer is about 10% but the body isn't too heavy, so I assume there's a lot of American 2 row. Also it's super hoppy, I'm pretty sure they used a lot of Simcoe, not sure what else. It's obviously oaked, something I've played around with and feel I can do properly in a carboy once I get the liquid gold.
Anyone else love this beer? Any ideas?
