Trying to help out a friend. He's scared that its going to be crap.

Watched the basic brewing video.

2lbs 2-row
4oz 60L crystal

55 min .5 oz Amarillo
55 min .5 oz simco

They were doing a pale ale

For the ipa should more bittering hops be added.? Same malt recipe you think?
 
WAYYYYYYY too much crystal malt, almost no base malt. Like 3+ lbs too much crystal malt. This is all-grain?
 
scratch that, just saw 4oz, much better. Are you using one of the cans of Mr. Beer LME?
 
I'm not sure I looked it up thinking it was just one kind of ipa. I'll have to get back to you cause size and IBU's really varied.
 
If your using what's in that link I would drop the hops to the last 5 of the boil so you get less ibus and a lot more flavor and aroma from them
