Well I guess I'll start by saying this is my first major build on here and it hasn't been to bad yet. I'm an electrician by trade so I figured why no give the electric brewing a shot. I've got parts showing up daily so I'll try to keep this thing updated the best I can.

Not speaking from experience, but from other posts I've seen here on hbt...you are going to want to ventilate that cooler. Even though your SSR has a heat sink that cooler is going to insulate it and it's gonna get toasty in there. Don't want anything going up in smoke on ya!
 
I second the heat issue, I run a 4500W element on a 50 amp SSR with external mount heat-sink. It is almost too hot to touch during the boil. Sealed in a cooler it is likely to have a catastrophic failure.
