Ive been keeping my washed yeast in a little wine cooler that I picked up last fall for $15. It was great throught the winter, but the last couple of days the temps inside have been hovering in the upper 50s. Im thinking this thing is on it's last legs and will need replaced.

Main question is the yeast I have stored, what effect will the higher temps have on my stored yeast? WIll I need to dump them?

With how crucial strong, healthy yeast is for making good beer, I don't like using suspect yeast. I would be cautious using yeast stored at 50 for a length of time. You could make a starter from them, so it's not a total waste if you decide they are no good, and store the fresh stuff at the proper temps.

That wine cooler isn't cold enough. Why not store it in the fridge?

I store mine in my cold crash/lagering chamber at 35*F.
