Let's see some pics of what you do!
I know a lot of people aren't happy at work so I'm sorry but, I love my job.
I can't wait for my alarm to go off in the morning.
I have quite a few pics to post... I'm proud of the work I do and love showing it off.

Here is some handrail for a water park...

I have a fantastic job, but it aint much to look at! My job is to make people happy, and I am granted the power to do so (within reason) at Chase Bank.

I do construction management of sewer treatment plant projects. You really want pictures?

Got some great ones of brown oxidation ditches, green sewer lagoons, and sludge drying beds.

Working on a thesis at the Naval Postgraduate School, in my lab we smash things with our light gas gun.

I'm bottom left.

That's awesome! Is this anything like a the cannon my Dad used to talk about, that he was involved with at work? He was a civilian Chemical Engineer at NSWC in Dalghren, MD. He talked about some ultra high velocity combination explosive/air cannon. It is reported to use some type of propellant to drive a plastic? polymer? piston down a tube toward a brass blast plate, compressing the air and releasing it behind the intended projectile. I dunno how much he was involved with that project, but he has several patents for flexible sheet explosives. I remember when I was a little kid (I'm 36 now) he would take us to open house day. That was the coolest thing, I remember cross cut torpedoes with the plexiglass covers, so you could see all the guts inside. He also played with some pretty high powered lightning guns too. He collected some junk and built one at home in the garage, it would jump a 3 foot gap on the workbench it the garage!

GO NAVY!!!

Same idea, but that would be a 2-stage light gas gun. This gun just uses a reservoir of high-pressure Helium. Lower power, but much simpler/cheaper to shoot.

Sorry, I hate my job. Pay is good. Bennies are good. Hours suck. Fellow employees suck (mostly). Although it's nice to see that there are some that like/love what they do. It gives me something to aspire to.

Here's a couple of the fermenters I work with. Inside these tanks, we ferment ecoli to produce biodiesel and fatty alcohols.

What company do you work for? I was in cellulosic ethanol development for DuPont for a while, I loved working in biofuels. Keep up the good work, our futures may depend on what you are working on!

Same here. I hate my job. I never want to get up in the morning to go to my job. While I'm at work, I never want to do my job. And I don't look forward to going back to my job on Monday.
The only positives are that I have a lot of flexibility on hours, I work by myself so no idiot co-workers, and it pays the bills.
The only pictures would be of me trying to resist the urge to drive off an overpass and end it all. ;)

I'm a CNC Machinist. I love my job. Being able to create damn near anything from just a solid hunk of steel is damn satisfying. Plus, in the spare time... oh, I need a special bracket for my Mustang? MACHINED! Oh, you'd like some super fancy engraved plates to print your wedding invitation? MACHINED!

And anyone who hasn't seen a 5-axis machine doing it's duty is missing out:

Still VERY cool stuff! I don't know about government work myself, but this makes me think about competing in Punkin Chunkin:rockin:

That stuff is cool too, my company has a bunch of new industrial robotic cnc mills and lasers. I think the mill is like a $2 Million piece of hardware...not to mention the tooling!

Whoah! I just watched the vid, that **** is SICK!

more of the boat here... you can actually see some of the welds. All aluminum, some Mig, Some Tig.

I work for a company called LS9. I focus on scaling up the fermentation process to larger and larger scales. We were thinking of doing an inaugural beer fermentation on that bigger tank when we first got it. Then we realized it came from an old pharmaceutical company who used it to make unknown drugs. No thanks.

I hate my job, pay isn't good, bennies suck, and it's should be almost 50% commission driven for me to make a fair salary considering my basepay but the traffic isn't enough. That said everyone but my boss is a good person and we have a lot of good times when the man is away.

I've a bit similar job. Can be boring, or can be exhausting.

I work as a Registered Nurse on the midnight shift of a medical surgical unit. I love my patients, and most of my co-workers.

Going to school to finish my undergraduate degree now with a deep desire to get my NP degree afterwards.

Go Blue!!!!
