    How old is my Brooklyn Brew kit?

    Sister-In-law did a nice thing and bought me a Brooklyn brew shop Afternoon Wheat beer kit (just the refill - grains, hops, & yeast.).     Looking at setting up a kegging system... the line cutters at Brewmasters Warehouse look like cigar cutters. I quit smoking cigars a while back but still have a cutter or 2 around; any reason not to use those instead of dropping $15?

    How much cherry extract is enough?

    I have 5 gals of Northern Brewer's dark cherry stout in primary now bubbling away madly. :) It is brewed like a normal stout, and then they send you a 4.8 ounce bottle of cherry extract to add at bottling.
