    I ferment 5 gal batches in a 10 gal corny.....is there such a thing as TOO much headspace?

    Attenuation

    Fellers....I'm aware that certain beers need to be drier tasting....but is there a certain range of ideal attenuation? For example...an Irish red ale, or a common American Amber...or an IPA? How low is to low....I just had an IPA with an OG of 1.045 and terminated at 1.005. Seems dry and sharp...

    Ok..on the 11th I pitched wy1968, after I made a starter, into an ESB. I ferment in a 10 gal corney with a blowoff. Took off within 3 hours, bubbled vigorous for 3 days and trickled to a very slow pace. The last 2 days I've noticed that,while there's been no blowoff activity, (gravity is 1.007...
