    First eBrew today - burnt

In a 5 gallon batch seemed to happen after about 25 minutes. I had it on auto. So that didn't help. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    First eBrew today - burnt

I took the time to rework with water and tried the boil again. It seems I should do some research before going willy-nilly. 100% is for getting the bk up to temp then turn it back to 75% for keeping temp up. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    First eBrew today - burnt

Yeah, the problem was I kept it on 100% and spent 40 minutes burning my all-grain batch. Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    First eBrew today - burnt

So went through very quickly and was awesome. I can't believe how short heating time is. Hence the issue. Burnt the wert in the bk. burnt like toast, cheap late night pizzas, and a day at the pool. What are most people setting the power to on their pid? I have aub pids running 5500 uld wave...

    The way over engineered thread

That's great. Wish I could sneak in some brew gear. I know you can brew it a lot simpler, but it's more fun brewing with lots of technology.

    The way over engineered thread

I agree. It can be at least $100 and on up to full commercial 30k panels. I started adding up parts and stopped at $1250. It was cool and sad. I'm pretty sure I am close to 2k in the panel. It is exactly what I wanted it to be. I know you can brew it a lot simpler, but it's more fun brewing...

That is awesome! I had a single glycol pump on a st. Way to go with 3. I know you can brew it a lot simpler, but it's more fun brewing with lots of technology.

    The way over engineered thread

I started to realize that I tend to over engineer everything. Case and point 1/2" ID counter flow chiller with a 2" cooling hose. It's 36' long. Over kill? No I cool 12 gallons in 7 minutes. Building a brew panel that is both PID and bcs. Over kill? Nope, I like choices. What have you over...

fantastic, I love it. Super simple. I like the power cord coming into the box. I wish I would have gone that way instead of a flanged outlet.

Brew Beer with the BeagleBone Black

I got a BBB for Xmas. I originally thought I was going to be building around it. I think for myself I will let bcs do all the hard work and the BBB keep the logs and show live data during brew day, and serve up video during wait times.

    bcs monitor

Under the tree was a BBB (Beaglebone Black). Now I'm thinking it needs to be on my system. I am going to put a TV in the brew area. There is a hdmi output on the BBB. I am thinking that would work great for a monitor. 32" of this is the current mash temp could be pretty impressive. Especially if...
