Virginia *LOWERED PRICES* DIY Kegorator, FastFerment, 9G Kettle, 10G Mash Tun, C02 Tank

Sold some stuff, but can't seem to edit the original FS thread. Lowered some prices. Old Thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/diy-kegorator-kegs-fastferment-9g-kettle-10g-mash-tun.637855/ I have 15 - 20 lbs of random grains that are fairly old, but much of which is still sealed...

@pshankstar @JustBob Thanks for the kind words and the business gentleman. :mug: I don't see an edit button on the original post, but the regulator has already been sold. Want to edit/lower prices of the other stuff. If anyone is interested feel free to make offers.

Virginia DIY Kegorator, Kegs, FastFerment, 9G Kettle, 10G Mash Tun

Same old sad story. Had kids. Thought I'd still had time and energy to brew, but I haven't touched this stuff in almost 2 years. Learned a lot and had a great time, but this **** needs to go!! I have 15 - 20 lbs of random grains that are fairly old, but much of which is still sealed and stored...

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

Finally got the wall mounts installed. Had to add a couple 2x4's to some exposed struts. About to build a floor stand so I can hold in place to add the wort. Hope all this is worth it... I was definitely sick of the carboy.

    DC Area Group Buy #11

I didn't purchase anything on the last buy, but it sounds like managing this is a complete pain in the ass without any pay. You guys are generous with your time! :mug:

    Active fermentation after 1 hour!?!?!!?

This is my 2nd time doing this, though I halved the volume of the trub and yeastcake the first time. It was vigorous, but not like this. Good since it's virtually the same beer. I'm sure this will be ready to keg/secondary pretty soon then. :rockin:

    Active fermentation after 1 hour!?!?!!?

I brewed a brown ale last night. Let it sit to cool overnight, siphoned into the fermenter on top of the last batch's yeast cake and shook vigorously to aerate and get it going. It's already got a thick krausen and a ton of activity in the airlock after about an hour!? Has anyone seen this...

Need a "stiffener" or stints in the insulation on my cooler/mashtun. Any suggestions?

So simple. So effective. It's the kind of solution that makes you feel stupid for not thinking of it. :mug:

Need a "stiffener" or stints in the insulation on my cooler/mashtun. Any suggestions?

I've been trying to get this thing right for a bit now. Almost there I hope. I'm sure some of you ran into this problem before. I'm inserting 1/2" pipe through the insulated plastic double wall, but I need to tighten the internal nut, washer and silicone pretty tight to get a good seal...

Professional meeting today...what should I ask?

If you are asking randoms on a forum what questions to ask you are already doomed. Drawing a blank means you are just out of your element or over your head. How can you not know what questions to ask? We don't know what you don't know and want to know, so how could we tell you? Silly logic...

    DC Area Group Buy #11

Sounds good. I need to do some reading and confirm what I need, where to plant, etc. Please just send a PM and I'll throw down on this. Even better. If they're suited to this climate that would be great. I haven't heard from stonebrewer with the price list of anything... can anyone else...

    BIAB Brewing Primer for Beginners

I have yet to do my first BIAB batch, but just picked up a 9G welded kettle and ordered the SS fittings for it. Going to use paint strainer bags that I've been using for partial-mash/extract brews. I've got a huge gas burner on my oven that I *hope* will have enough juice to get me a decently...
