I vote to run the wort through it while it is in a bath. My only concern is if there is anything coating the inside of the pipes that would come off in the high temp wort.

Yeah but the with the chipper it is more difficult to contain the mess and then you have a big clean up for the chipper alone. The blender keeps the mess contained and all you have to clean is the "pitcher". ....ooooohhhh... that's right we are talking about jokes...
