    New Zealand Hops/Recipe

Riwaka is a great hop that is popular in regional pilsners as well as pale ales - Emersons Pilsner is a popular example. Nelson Sauvin is popular in IPA's. Brewdog use a lot of NZ hops in their recipes. The above comment is correct, there are so many options https://www.nzhops.co.nz/hop-overview

Does this dry hopping combination make sense?

Hi Matt Equinox supposedly has a notable tropical fruit, floral and citrus profile so kind of makes sense to compliment the citrus/tropical Sauvin and marmalade citrus Pacifica. So it sounds like you will have a "fruit bowl" on your hands ! Cheers

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

W34/70 is a good yeast to use at higher than traditional temps I have fermented at 20c in the past with no problems. Others have done it at 23c but we are brewing under pressure which does reduce esters. However based on this experiment in the link (not brewing under pressure), you shouldn't...

    Fermenting under pressure

Sadu, I have two of these fermenters/kegs and brew under pressure. Although the 6 days is claimed, this is more relevant to ales for me as I still haven't built up the nerve to ferment at the suggested 24 degrees Celsius with lagers. The commercial users are said to brew at this temp though...

quick check - proposed pressurized fermentation process?

Hi guys I started fermenting under pressure four months a go using a special lay designed keg. In theory you can go from pitching to drinking in 7 days. I usually squeeze it out another 3 as don't ferment at as high temperatures as suggested. Here's the Manual for it...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

It's a cool bit of kit. I have a two of them going in a kegerator and what I'm seeing is that: 1. from the start of fermenting to drinking is as short as a week for an ale 2. Beer is carbonated during fermentation 3. Pressure seems to inhibit ester and fusel formation 4. Can ferment warmer...
