    Backsweetening hot sauce

Just like the title says! What do you guys use for sweeteners when the sauce is done fermenting? I just made my first two batches of hot sauce and I dig it, but would love to hit the balance better on sweet n salty.

    Make IPA Clear Again

Absolutely there are. We're all adults, we shouldn't be tricked into buying things we don't want. It's a minefield. Maybe they should lose the established "IPA" style label and call it oj n crud? Then we know what we're getting? OJC.

200 mg/l sodium in city water

Thanks everyone for the replies!! There is some great info here. I'm trying to figure out what I need whole house RO at this point. I'm considering something small for brewing in the meantime if this gets as pricey as think it might. Looks like we will need something on the commercial scale or...

200 mg/l sodium in city water

Like the title says...200 ppm of sodium in my city water. I just brewed a Kolsch as my first brew in this new town and yeah, not so good. I had great water where I was I before and took it for granted. I had no idea how bad this would be as it's less than 10 miles from my old place. To top...

    Condensate Hood, ventilation

I was referring to something like this:

    Condensate Hood, ventilation

I've looked at those, actually the same from spike. They make one that should fit my 30 gallon megapot, but that's alot of water and drainage. I'm hoping to just remove the condensation without having ro pump more water in. Since this does not involve grease I was hoping to find a cheap...

    Condensate Hood, ventilation

Hi All, I'm working on a build in my new garage, having issues trying to figure out how to deal with with condensate above my brew set up. I do not currently have a drain or water ran to garage. My plan is to build a pretty long "shower pan" and run a drain to a line running parallel to the...

Shower type spray nozzle for lock line

I considered that, I was hoping to find a bigger spray distributor thing that might fit the lock line better than going through all the reduction with tubing and hose clamps.

Shower type spray nozzle for lock line

Hi All, I'm trying to find a solution to hook up what I attached. It's the end of a mega pot sparge contraption. I'd like to find a way to attach it to the open end of a lock line. Has anyone figured this one out yet? Thanks ahead of time

    Been awhile

So I've been away from the hobby awhile and I'm having trouble finding big (100 qt and bigger) stainless pots with a good 3 ply bottom. Does anyone have a good link? I can drill them and add sight glasses, valves, etc. myself. Thanks ahead of time if you do!

    Simcoe and Amarillo

Anyone know of anywhere that has these in stock? Brewing in 10 days and I would like to find a pound of each. Been digging around and haven't seen them anywhere. Thanks!

    Is this big enough?

Well I figured there may be some heavy misting and butt puckering (nice one) issues. I'm just trying to get my head around the efficiency issues. According to green bay rackers a 46 lb recipe will take 18.6 gallons of space giving me very little room to get a sparge arm in.

    Is this big enough?

I have a 15 gallon hlt, a 20 gallon mas tun and just bought a 25 gallon pot to boil in. I was thinking I could mash and sparge enough to get about 23 gallons for a boil. Is this right or will my efficiency suck?

beersmith equipment profiles, I can't just say what my pots are?

Thanks guys. I guess I was hoping for it to ask pot dimensions and what the materials are (stainless, aluminum, cooler, whatever...), but from what you are saying is kind of guess/measure everything till beersmith lines up with what I'm using? So really it's not any help with boil off and hop...
