I've been wanting to add a SS Brewtech Unitank to my collection!

We couldn't get one of ours out easily either, we ended up drilling a "sight" hole aligned with where the alignment mark is. From there we were able to easily remove the clip, but at the sacrifice of a single hole in the lid.

We actually did this ourselves because the weld line on one of or kegs didn't allow us to go any lower, what we did was take a roll of duct tape and a golf ball. But the golf ball under the center hole of the false bottom and place the duct tape roll so the ball is centered. than just step on it...

Not sure about the welder settings and so forth but in reference to the flux cored wire it will do just fine unless your planning on making a stainless or aluminum frame, than your going to want the gas and solid wire. Have fun, bought my welder months back, always borrowed my dads prior, and...
