Some people simmer potpourri on the stove. Maybe use some spent or cheaper base grains and simmer them.

Don't have to do the main meal but I did Oatmeal Spicedrop cookies this morning and have a Broccoli and Cheese Casserole in the oven now. Am bringing some homebrew Riesling, Chianti and Cream Ale too.

Hey Wade, Made an all strawberry version of this recipe in June. Used 36lbs of berries and 2 qt. of steamed juice, reduced, for the f-pac. Bottled it today. Drank what wouldn't fit in the last bottle and it tastes very good. Can see where aging is going to make it better. Thanks for the recipe. dp

Welcome Gopher, My 2nd kit was a Brewers Best Creme Ale. It turned out great. Makes a good summer drink. It is the wives favorite so far. BTW, I can't tell you how many hours I spent on the river down there above the Flat Rock dam. I love the fishing down there. dp
