    Brewing with coriander seeds -- A small question

    I wouldn't crush them that finely. All you really need is a good crack to get the flavor... each seed should be in a few to a handful of distinct pieces rather than a powder.

    Glycerine as a preservative in tropical beer.

    Has anyone else ever cooked with glycerin? I used to use it to rehydrate after wrestling weigh ins... smoothies with 1 TBSP glycerin / 1 TBSP lecithin granules had an unbelievable texture. Perhaps it could be used in small amounts to augment the mouthfeel of an otherwise dry beer.

    The homebrew "twang" is gone!!!!

    Is the expiration date listed on the side of jugs of liquid malt extract a good indicator of its freshness? Or does it start to pick up off flavors long before?
