    brewsteel out of business?

I ordered a stand from Kurt and he never finished it until 9 months after I paid him in full and only after I began a credit card dispute. He delayed the completion date 4 times before I gave him a deadline which he missed (never even got in contact with me after the deadline was issued). I...

Texas Two 15.5gal Conical Fermenters (HDPE) - $350 each

I am trying to sell two 15.5gal conical fermenters. They are HDPE, not stainless steel. They have been in use for about 9 months (approx. 18 brews) and are in almost brand new condition. We are trying to get $350 each. I have been meticulous in my cleaning as we have been using these to...

    Yeast Starter with Mini-Mash

I thought about that since I do have 4 one gal jugs and airlocks. I'd have to store them for about a month tho...to do so I'd have to decant the beer and just refridgerate the remaining yeast cake?

    Yeast Starter with Mini-Mash

I would save the wort but I dont have a pressure cooker. And space can be an issue (I've had an airlock blown out a time or two before)...I am gong to try a blow off hose, so maybe a 5.5gal would be the perfect test. Thanks for the help.

    Yeast Starter with Mini-Mash

So I have a question for some of you more experienced yeast propagators out there. I am planning on brewing this Sat or Sun, and was going to make two 5gal batches of different Saisons. I know that you want a gravity of 1.030-1.040, but instead of using DME, are there any potenetial issues...

    Blog Following DFW Breweries

Hey guys, I just wanted to shamelessly promote a blog I started a couple weeks ago. I've been in contact with many of the developing breweries (as well as the up and running ones) and will be providing updates on their progress. In addition, I'll be maintaining a calendar of beer events...

Calling All Texans Who Drink Good Beer!

http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/ Let your reps know that you support HB660 and HB602. Both of these bills will help Texans to start craft breweries that will actually be on a somewhat level playing field as the big guys! The bills are in comittee right now, so the more support that...

    TL in Austin Tonight

TexLaw, I'd love to do anything I can to help push this bill up here in DFW. I've been in contact with the folks from Freetail Brewery, but they seem to have their hands full. We need folks to start contacting their reps like crazy to make sure this bill gets through committe intact...

    Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild Ale

First off, love the beer and the labels! Agree with much of what has already been said. Only thing I'm confused about is that I thought the original Lil Sumpin was fermented with a Belgian yeast strain as well? Am I incorrect about this? We've been referring to it as a Belgian Pale Ale...

    Bottling A Saison

So it's been about 4 weeks and the gravity is around 1.014. Tastes great, I'd like to get it a little drier, but I don't think it is too sweet for a Saison (depending on what kind you like). I'm hoping to bottle next week, but I am now concerned that if I add enough priming sugar to achieve...
