Sears owns Kmart. I called Sears and they said they will try to match Kmart pricing. I guess I am on my way.

Milk-Mead (a spin on koumiss) instruction, recipe & info

Well the yeast is pitched. We will see how it goes. I didn't boil the honey but I attempted to pasteurize it by heating it up into the 170's for 20 min. I didn't make a starter or rehydrate my yeast but I don't think it will be a problem. At least it isn't usually a problem for me. Throwing this...

Ok, I need to settle this.

So I am thinking there is a misconception here in the states about the Germans and their serving temps. I wonder how it started? Of course these guys i was talking about are of the sort that will tell you the beer at the bottom of a barrel is stronger than at the top. I should have realized at...

Ok, I need to settle this.

Ok, I need to settle this.

Do the Germans prefer to drink warm beer? I don't know how many times I hear it from people. Do they tend to drink it warmer than Americans and BMC? I have guys telling me they Germans are drinking like 70-80 degree beer. Please tell me this is yet another misconception propagated by ignorant...

    Norwegian Delicy: Spitchmur

I must find a recipe for this stuff. It was just so good when I had it. The casing did not seem to be chewy at all at least what I could remember. I have never tried my hand at making sausage but I would like to try. Maybe I will start with this stuff.

    Norwegian Delicy: Spitchmur

The package just said dry sausage. It looked exactly like what you have pictured.

    Norwegian Delicy: Spitchmur

Are you not supposed to eat the casing? I did when I had something like this sausage. It was very good, I want to make some myself. I also had some made from venison. I ate it as is and there was so much flavor and smoke it was amazing.

    Star Trek or Star Wars?
