    Holes in scoby, no mold apparent

    Another thing to try is to use a different type of tea. Earl grey tea contains bergamot oil, which can be harmful to SCOBYs. Try using a plain black tea or a green tea instead.

    New to Cider making - sulfur smell I know

    My case is interesting. At first there was a slight sulfur smell. But eventually it disappeared on its own. I didn't do anything about it. So if the smell is not too strong, you can just wait it out.

    I think the combination of cinnamon, vanilla, allspice, and nutmeg is excellent.

    Hi, I'm a beginner brewer and I'm trying to understand the different types of malts and hops. I'm also curious about the chocolate malt. You said that you wouldn't use it in this beer, but I've heard that it can give beers a coffee-like flavor. Is that true?
