    Unitank and spunding

Understood, I was only trying to say that spunding to the necessary level can be difficult given the pressure limitations of a conical fermentor. You'd need 15-18 psi with a lager yeast but more like 28-30+ psi using an ale yeast (OP brewed a Scotch ale). Now, spunding in a keg is another story...

Glycol chiller for 2 7g conicals

The 1/5 HP SS chiller, will keep both at refrigerator temperatures but it might struggle crashing them at the same time. Ramp one down, then do the other. Looks like Brewbuilt claims the Icemaster 2 can cold crash two 15 gallon conicals at once. It's also cheaper but keep in mind it doesn't...

It might not be practical or possible to get your beer fully carbonated in the fermentor without an external CO2 source. At room temperature you'd need more pressure than the vessel should safely see (~30 psi). At cold temps (37 - 40 F) you'd still need ~11 psi to hit 2.5 volumes of CO2 and...

Glycol chiller for 2 7g conicals

I've used the 1/5 HP SS Brewtech chiller for the past 4 years and it works great for 5 gallon batches. My garage gets into the mid 80s in the summer, and I still brew lagers during those months. Should be fine for 2 simultaneous batches, as long as you aren't cold crashing them at the same...

    Greetings from Central Virginia!

Long-time lurker (4+ years) and even longer-time brewer (21+ years!). Got started in 2002 using glass carboys and an Oktoberfest extract kit which I fermented at ale temperature. It was....drinkable! Now my brews are even more drinkable and of course the best part is sharing them...
