Corny keg O-ring oxygen permeability testing results

Hey, do you have a part number for the universal popit o-ring? The o-ring on these universal popits look much nicer the black ones on mine that get stuck. Universal Poppets | valuebrew.com

    Voss Kveik Fermentation Profile?

I have a pack of LaBrew Voss, how do you maintain high temps in winter? My garage is about 60-70 deg right now, do I need a heater or does the activity of the yeast warm up my chamber (keezer). I've mostly been brewing with ale yeasts and run my keezer around 72-76deg. I'd like to brew a pale...

    Should I use RO water?

You should check your local water quality report. I have hard water (278ppm) with chloramines and other crap in small but legal amounts like Arsenic, Uranium, alpha and beta particles, fluoride (probably not good for yeast). Not to mention pfas and other "forever chemicals" that aren't listed...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I clipped the fridge sensor and no change, still not reading any temps. I will open the main controller today and check the sensor voltage, when I was building the unit it only worked on 1 sensor voltage setting. Is there a way to test the temp probe I cut off with a multimeter?

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

The power supply is a 5v 2amp amazon fire stick usb wall adaptor. My fridge sensor first starting cutting out, then it was fridge and beer sensor and now all 3 won't read. I was able to get things working for about 24hr by plugging in a new ethernet cable, resetting the brewpi a few times and...

Has anyone used one of these Chinese counterpressure filler machines?

It looks like the end has a barbed fitting where you could attach the appropriate flexible tubing This $6,000 machine seems to also purge from the top. Micro Filling Systems 4 Head Counter Pressure Bottle Filler | MoreBeer This design seems to work well but it's more expensive and on...

Has anyone used one of these Chinese counterpressure filler machines?

They're all over ebay when you search counter pressure bottle filler, I know most people recommend a tapcooler or nukatap counterpressure filler but I like the idea of having a system to mount the bottle. This reminds me of the WilliamsWarn BrewBottler and iTap but both of those models are made...

https://patch.com/new-hampshire/portsmouth-nh/osha-fines-redhook-63-500-in-ben-harris-case I had no idea plastic kegs could be deadly! "The employee was using a compressed air line to purge liquid from the interior of a plastic keg when the keg exploded, causing parts of it to fatally strike...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I noticed fermentrak controlling brewpi-esp32, the minimum temperature default is set to 33.8*F. If I'm running a chest freezer can I set it lower? I'm trying to cold crash to 33*F and it seems like it could go faster if the freezer got colder. Any suggestions on the appropriate minimum...

Can you actually *buy* a Raspberry Pi these days?

I've been successful checking the stock online each morning then driving to the store if it's in stock, not practical for most people but the flagship microcenter store is about 20min from me. If I wanted to I could of went to the car then back inside to buy another one, they had about 15 (pi 4b...
