I just got an 5# exchange for $30, local beer distributor. The last time it was $25. Asked about buying another 5# tank and was quoted $65. This is in Montgomery county, Pa.
Yes, that is what I do. While I'm waiting for the mash, I start boiling water for the sparge, Also I can adjust sparge water temp with hot or cold water. I have used a small pump to do the sparge itself but sometimes I just use the pour over method
During the mash, I start heating my "Half Gallon" Electric kettle (They are everywhere over here. I've been using them for 25 years. French Press coffee) then dump the hot water into my plastic primary in the summer or into my old cooler mash tun in the winter. By the time I'm ready to sparge I...
the weight pushed the center down , almost concave. There was a gap between the false bottom and the Zilla. Some pliers, a rubber mallet and about an hour of "adjustments" it is snug and it works well but it looks a bit worse for wear.

I'm not calling anyone out but I've seen this on the site many times and (unless you cannot use a drill, If this is the case bless you for using the hand crank) I just don't understand. It takes about 3 minutes to do a double crush of the grains.
Am I missing something?
My sprayer has a wand that unscrews. I slipped some tubing over the threads and clamped it down. The opposite end I attached the disconnect for the keg in post.
EDIT: the wand end is larger than the quick disconnect, so I used a small piece of beer line tubing to build up the post thickness on...
I use the hand pump sprayer as well. After I kick a keg, I fill up an electric tea kettle, pour the boiling water into the sprayer, pump it into the keg and then through the keg line
