    Anyone know a place that does free shipping? Delta brewing used to... but finally stopped. I thought ity was crazy they would ship 200lbs of grain for free. Now it's a 2.5 hour drive to buy "local"

    Traveling with keg in car

    I read a lot of people transfer their beer to a new keg to rid of sediment. Is this a must? I cold crash my IPAs and my closed transfer are pretty clean (from the fermenter).

    Add gypsum after fermentation?

    So I ran out of gypsum during my brew day. Only got about 3 grams worth and was supposed to add around 20 grams total (beersmith hoppy profile) (11 gallon batch). I just ordered some. Is there any benefit adding it after fermentation? I plan on dry hopping in a few days when i soft crash...

    Dried Voss (kveik in general) is amazing

    Pitched one pack (rehydrated) into 1.089 wort (x2IPA) 2 hours ago and it's already partying. Long gone are the days of shipping liquid yeast. Worrying about health. Making a starter. Temperature control..... have fun with that :) I probably could have pitched half this pack. $3 bucks...

    Voss kveik and NEIPA. When to soft crash?

    So my NEIPA was dry hopped mid-late fermentation. And VOSS works really fast. Been dry hopped about 48 hours at 85F. When is best to soft crash down to say 55F?? Also do i gradually drop it to 55F or just set the temp and let it crash? A little worried about diacetyl and my taste buds aren't...

    I just wanted to get some advice before I do this. I'm sure it's fine Would 2 packs handle an 11 gal 1.070 IPA pretty well? Rehydrated I know under pitching is kind of a good thing for IPA citrus flavor.

    Filling IPA bottles from keg. O2 degrading the beer/hops. Tips?

    Do commercial brewers purge kegs of oxygen?

    I was just thinking about it. I doubt they do a star san purge like us homebrewers... maybe they do? I've seen videos of cleaning them but nothing on the oxygen issue. They have to do something, right? Shelf life of a NEIPA is terrible.
