    Yeast Help

    @mbm29456 in my turkey fryer pot I had to use a c clamp and hose clamp to get sous vide down far enough. In new anvil pot I am able to use standard pot connection. I secure my biab around it with binder clips. Maintains temp very well with a 1F temp drop when stirring

    Spot on Spike Flex

    I have used spike for two batches and when I went to clean today I noticed many dark spots on lid. I cleaned thoroughly before and after each use. I scrubbed with PBW and BKF and no luck. Any idea what they are. Rust spots developing?

    I dont use shock packs when cooling wort. Only when cold crashing after fermentation cooling wort I will use regular water dor dirst bit then add all ice until down to temp.     I added 40lb ice and water and will drain to add another 40 lbs later today. I will start budgeting $15 ice for brewing I guess until I find another solution. Since I brew and keep everything outdoors Is there a glycol chiller in $500 range that can operate at 80-90F ambient temps?
