That may be? What would typical gravity be for 10lb 2 row in 5 .5 gallon batch?

    Old grain

Just brewed up a pale ale with grain that was crushed 6mos ago. It smelled and tasted fine but my o.g. seems low for 10lb of 2 row? 1.048. Is that normal for 5.5 gallon batch?

    Topping off with Apple liqueur?

Yep, this is correct. It did start fermenting, and is going as I write this. Glad I didn't bottle yet. So lesson learned.

    Topping off with Apple liqueur?

Update" Well, I topped it off with a little over a cup with the Apple liqueur. No visible fermentation, quite clear and still. Didn't take gravity reading, so I'll bottle with priming sugar next weekend

First brew, think i cucked it up already. Help and advice appreciated

You should read the beginner stickies for starters, you say further boiling water after pitching yeast? This could kill yeast and won't ferment, also a cup of bleach was way to much if you don't rinse well enough, again you kill yeast. Read up on it in this forum. Good luck.

Chill haze in lighter colored beers only?

Well, probably over 10lb grain bill. So maybe 1 1/2 to 2 percent acid malt.

Chill haze in lighter colored beers only?

Yea, but I don't think you'll taste 1 or 2oz. Acid malt. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
