Yep, used 12oz. Crystal 20 and 8oz. Carapils mashed 1 hour at 152 ish. Need to get a mill and crush my own or buy double crush? I'm sure it will taste good :yes:
Just brewed up a pale ale with grain that was crushed 6mos ago. It smelled and tasted fine but my o.g. seems low for 10lb of 2 row? 1.048. Is that normal for 5.5 gallon batch?

Well, I topped it off with a little over a cup with the Apple liqueur. No visible fermentation, quite clear and still. Didn't take gravity reading, so I'll bottle with priming sugar next weekend
You should read the beginner stickies for starters, you say further boiling water after pitching yeast? This could kill yeast and won't ferment, also a cup of bleach was way to much if you don't rinse well enough, again you kill yeast. Read up on it in this forum. Good luck.
