I would say (and I'm guessing here) about 20-30 batches worth of use. The mill is packed in a box that is 20" x 17" x 8" and weighs about 10 pounds. Shipping from ZIP 32514. Brian

    Florida Grain Mill for sale

This is a "Grain Gobbler" mill, as sold by MoreBeer and Fermentap. At the heart of the mill are two 1.5" x 4" knurled rollers, which are adjustable through 10 pre-set positions for a uniform gap spacing. The rollers ride in bronze bushings and thus require no maintenance or lubrication. The mill...

    NC Tax Holiday

Here's a story on the WRAL (the CBS affiliate in Raleigh, NC): http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/9935697/ According to their story the 'holiday' only covers things like clothing, school supplies, computers & computer supplies and sports equipment. And it looks like there are dollar limits...

    A legality question!

What are you quoting here? If that's Oregon State Law, it does not apply to the OP as he's in Kentucky. Brian

Force batch sparging with a bike pump

Wheat malt has no husk to act as a filter bed like barley malt does. Thus the addition of rice hulls to add some "filter media." I agree with Yooper, if your MLT drains that slowly you've got some other issue. I'd concentrate on figuring out what that is and correcting it, rather than rigging...

About to buy a burner - is Blichmann worth it?

I had a Bayou Classic burner (it was a gift) that served me well for several years. It handled boiling my five gallon batches just fine. But when I moved to 10 gallon batches it showed it's weaknesses. I'd collect wort from the mash which would be at about 140 degrees by the time I was ready...

im a noob at this stuff, how do i keg my homebrew?

Does the fitting on top of the keg look like this? If so it's a sankey keg. Most of us use cornelius kegs, which have entirely different fittings. I've no idea how one would fill a sankey keg at home. Brian

Extract Brewer heading towards All Grain - What Brew Pot?

Alabama Homebrew Legislation update (Wish 'em luck)

Potato...po-ta-to. Either way, the sales volume that they may, or may not, lose wouldn't be worth spending their lobbying dollars on. They're far more concerned about taxes, labor issues, fuel costs, etc than they are about home brewers. Look at it this way. Craft beer drinkers are only...
