I would’ve felt dirty if I won because of that. GL in the next game and enjoy the beer!

I can’t believe old man Flacco is still playing but I pivoted to Nick f’ing Mullens. I sure would like my team a lot more if I still had Herbert and Mark Andrews

Fun season so far. I hate the NFL.com app :D but otherwise I dig this league. It's also been fun trying to find decent RBs all season, since I had a live draft involving much beer going on same time as this one so computer ended up autodrafting half my picks, and made sure to draft me Chubb and...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Took a long break from hazies after hitting them really hard in 2020-2021 and brewed alot of WCIPAs since then. I did a hazy again in my last batch with Lallemand Voss fermented in the high 80s and wow it's sucking me back in. One of the best I've done

Thanks for the invite boys. I joined the league the other day. Looking forward to it Time is fine with me. I have a live draft at 2pm EDT tomorrow at my house with a bunch of my buddies so I'll be feeling pretty good around 5:30. Any terrible picks I make I'm blaming on that

Yeah I've gotten green pepper too often to ever use it again, with so many other options. I've heard allegedly it can be fruity

    Incognito + Spectrum...Any Experiences?

There's a video(I believe on Yakima's website) where the guy walks through how to use incognito and after adding it to the whirlpool he added a small amount of pellet hops, to try to grab any oily stuff floating on top. I mimicked this, although I really didn't notice alot floating on top so...

    Fermenting in a corny keg?

People here have posted the math related to the amount of CO2 created in a fermentation and it seems plenty sufficient to purge 2 kegs. I often have 2 kegs(dry hop keg, serving keg) daisy chained to my ferm keg to be purged and it seems to work fine

    Incognito + Spectrum...Any Experiences?

Wondering the same thing as I might pick up some Incognito in my next YVH order. Reviews on their site are very positive. From their description it seems it's preferrable as whirlpool dosage, although the description says it's flowable at room temps. The line below makes me think dry hopping is...

    RO system recommendations?

Hmm, that might be the case. There are quite a few filters the lines are running through before heading to the tank

    RO system recommendations?

I bought an APEC system a couple years ago with small pressurized tank and haven't noticed this at all. My wife is super anal and made me use the RO filter for our sparkling water, so she almost definitely would've noticed if some weird off-flavor was coming through.

Boil time reduction : the science please

I mainly brew IPAs(all kinds) and dropped my boil time to 45 minutes long ago and it seems to work fine. I bet I could go even lower with no noticeable changes. It would be a good experiment to brew identical batches at different boil times, if I could ever bring myself to brew the exact same...

    Make IPA Clear Again

If you're getting it 'on a menu' all you have to do is ask the person serving you what kind of beer it is. If you're buying cans perhaps it takes a bit more effort but you could just spend 30 seconds looking the beer up on an app or the internet and finding a picture in a glass. Seems like...

    Brewer's Friend vs. Beersmith

I've been using BF since I started brewing in 2018. Never used BS. There's never really been anything I needed BF to do that it couldn't get done

    Make IPA Clear Again

How do you think it's lazy? I brew almost solely IPAs and swing back and forth between hazys, american IPAs, and WCIPA. Really good hazys are hard to brew, same as WCIPA. American IPAs are easier for me, being a bit more malty. Anything extremely hop driven is harder to dial in IMO. Malt is far...

Pressurized Closed Loop Corny Keg Fermenting

Depends on what type of beer and storage period. If it's a hoppy beer you'll probably need to use a counter pressure filler of some kind to have any reasonable shelf life. Although I think alot of people oxidize their beers and just don't notice, which is fine. If you're kegging half and...

New Zealand Pilsner / IPL crossover

You're wise to not jack up the sulfate on a pilsner. There's not any malt backbone or ABV sweetness to cut it if you overdo it, which is especially easy to do if you're hopping the beer like crazy with high alpha NZ/Aussie hops. I use pretty soft water for my pilsners and NEIPAs and they turn...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I get hops from YVH most often, but I do order some from Morebeer now & then since I get most of my supplies and grain there. I've found their hops to be good quality. More than once I've been brewing with a mix of Morebeer hops and YVH and the Artisan/Morebeer smelled much better out of the bag.
