    Cider temps

    First attempt at cider. Daughter got me one gallon cider kit for Christmas. I can't seem to find temp recommendations for fermenting cider . Yeast packet (SafCider) calls for 10-30C (50-86F). My basement stays at 65-67F during winter. Is that acceptable? Will the temp rise during fermentation...

    Five Star 5.2 ph stabilizer

    Five star 5.2 ph stabilizer. Has anyone used this product? Does it work as stated, 1Tbsp to five gallons of water to stabilize the mash at 5.2? How does it do it? What's in it? A lot of questions I know, but just started with the water chemistry, and now dabbling with mash ph aspect of brewing. TIA

    Hello, my name is Keith. Brand new to this hobby/addiction. My first extract brew s currently bottle aging. So much info to digest! I'm 62 retired, married with one daughter. Hobbies include fishing, camping, hiking, photography, vegetable gardening, and now brewing. Cheers all!
