    Bru'n Water, water adjustments

Thanks Silver. Thats what I kind of thought but I am using this software on a Mac, so I wasn't sure if it was a compatibility issue.

    Bru'n Water, water adjustments

I finally bought the Bru’n Water software and I am having a issue that I am sure is operator error. I entered all of the inputs per the instructions, got to the water adjustments tab and picked a desired profile (Munich boiled) for my Oktoberfest. Water additions are still at zero...am I missing...

    Stop fermenting, help!

Thanks for the info. I only have the equipment to do a 1L starter. My thought was to use the additional packs to reach the desired yeast cell count. Lesson learned...I will buy a larger flask to create the right size starter.

    Stop fermenting, help!

I used Wyeast 1728 Scottish Ale. I used a starter plus 2 pks because according to beer smith I needed a little over 300 billion cells for my pitch. A starter plus 2 pks would give me 400 billion. I didn't want to under pitch. I swirled it and I can try to bump the temp by moving it out of my...

I did a 1 liter starter plus 2 additional pks of wyeast. Fermentation temp was steady at 68F, pure oxygen added for 1 min....brew day...

    Upgrading Equipment Question

I ended up pulling the trigger on 3 Blichmann 20 gal G2 kettles. For my mash tun I purchased the false bottom, hop blocker, and the auto sparge. Next is building my "table". I'm using the blue print for the Sabco. They have all the measurements online.

    Upgrading Equipment Question

Are you using a Blichmann G2 for HLT, Mash Tun and Boil kettle? I was going to buy 3 new kettles. I was thinking 20gal for the boil kettle and 15 gal for HLT and Mash Tun. Every post I read suggests a 20 gal boil kettle is the way to go for extra head space.

    Upgrading Equipment Question

I have been researching new equipment to start all grain brewing. I plan on doing 10 gallon batches and approx. 20 batches per year at this point. I currently own a couple cheaper brew kettles (Didn't know if I was going to enjoy it this much). I just purchased the Blichmann 15 gal "Fermenator"...
