DC Area Group Grain Buy #25

It's kind of them to continue the buy even as they shutter the shop. I have a feeling there's going to be some contraction of homebrew shop option in MD in the future month/years.

Started splits for Simpsons Med Crystal Split and Roast Barley. Question, how is fullfillment on some of the lesser user maltzers? I see Swaen and Proximity on the list now. I know there use to be a lot of trouble getting Patagonian and Irish Malting Company fullfilled.

What's the difference between melanodin and aromatic? I was thinking of getting a refill on melanodin but then I thought about it and realized I've never used aromatic at all.

We have a new club member that is looking to get a start set. I assume that's a cooler mash tun and a...5 gallon pot?

I think the a degree this has always been the case, and it's not necessarily limited to beer. Plenty of people spend enormous amounts of time and money enjoying music but have no interest interest in making their own. Prior to the craft beer boom, homebrew had the niche of being able to provide...

Tossed a few sacks on and grabbed some of the veinna & rye splits. Opened a Wheat malt split if anyone needs some.

I too am curious. :) Just got back home after a weekend camping with the family. Did anyone end up taking my sack of base malt home with them?

Any port in a storm I suppose. If no one closer to Baltimore steps forward on the day of the pickup, I would greatly appreciate you grabbing my one sack. I can probably pick it up an evening next week if that works. This will probably be the last time I have access to the internet until...
